My Dashboard supports iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch devices running iOS firmware 5.0 or later.
My Dashboard can display up to 8 panels on a single iPad screen or up to two panels on a single iPhone or iPod Touch screen.
My Dashboard supports up to six screens on iPad (that is up to 48 panels!) and nine screens on iPhone or iPod Touch (up to 18 panels).
At the top of each panel is a cog icon, select this once to flip the panel over and view its available options. Depending on the panel you are viewing, there are a number of various options to choose from, from changing the layout to selecting locations and measurement formats.
How do I change the size of a panel on iPad?
A panel on iPad can be changed up to 9 different sizes. To do this, select the 'cog' option button, located on the top-right of the screen, to enter Edit Mode. Whilst in Edit Mode tap and drag/stretch the bottom right corner of any panel into any available space to resize it. Once you are happy with the new arrangement of panels select the tick button to save your changes.
How do I change the size of a panel on iPhone or iPod Touch?
A panel on iPhone or iPod Touch can be changed up to 2 different sizes - full screen and half screen. To do this, enter Edit Mode by swiping up the screen to enter Quick Nav and then select the top right 'cog' button. When in edit mode, tap and drag a panel into another full screen panel, you will see the existing screen panel slide up to make room for the new panel you are about to drop in. Let go of the panel whilst over this screen to place it. Then select the tick button to save your changes.
How do I change the look of my image panels?
You can change the way My Dashboard displays photos from your Camera Roll, Instagram or Flickr panels by tapping on the panel's icon to enter Options Mode and tapping or sliding the option from Grid to Solo or vice versa. Select the Save button when you are happy with your changes to flip the panel over and see a different way of displaying your photos.
Can I view a website like how it shows on a desktop?
Yes you can! It is called changing your User Agent. To do this select the mobile phone button that is in the top right over the My Dashboard browser. The icon will switch to a desktop button which means any page viewed will display like it does on your desktop, instead of displaying like it does on your mobile or tablet.
Can I view photos in My Dashboard?
You can view photos in fullscreen from the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr and Camera Roll Photos panels. Simply select the thumbnail to view them full screen on your device. Use pinch and zoom to view them closer and turn your device landscape to view them in landscape mode. Swipe the screen to view each photo in sequence. Tap on the full screen image once to view any meta data available and double tap the image to go back to Grid or Solo view.
Can I read my news on My Dashboard?
My Dashboard has an RSS panel where you can view all your RSS feeds. Enter its RSS URL in Options Mode to view it or browse and choose from a list of pre-selected news sites by pressing the Browse RSS Feeds button.
Can I listen to my music on My Dashboard?
My Dashboard has a dedicated music player panel. Once added to your screen it will look for any music located on your device and display all the Artists, Albums and Songs in its library view. Select each option to view them and play them. Once a track is playing, select the top right play button to flip the panel over to enter Player Mode. From here you can control your music, share what you are listening to with your friends or setup the sleep mode. Tap on the album cover to pull in any meta data for the song you are listening to and view shuffle, loop, sleep and share options.
The Music Player panel also works with iTunes Music Match service. If you have a large music library please allow some time for the content to load into the player's library panel view.
How do I edit the titles of each screen on My Dashboard?
Either in Edit Mode or in Normal Mode you can tap and hold on a title to bring up the keyboard. Delete, edit and change the title of the screen and then select the Done button when you are finished to save it.
How do I add a new screen on My Dashboard?
On iPad simply swipe from right to left on the screen and an Add New Screen option will slide into view. Select it to be taken to the new screen, where you can then add new panels to it by selecting on an empty zone.
On iPhone or iPod Touch, slide up from the bottom of the screen to enter Quick Nav mode. Then either select an empty zone from the Quick Nav screen or edit the Cog button to enter Edit Mode and then select an empty zone. You will then be asked what panel you would like to add into this empty zone.
How do I remove a Panel from a screen?
This is done whilst in Edit Mode on both iPad and iPhone versions of My Dashboard.
On iPhone simply tap on a panel that you'd like to remove and drag it into the trashcan (top right).
On iPad there is a (x) delete button located on the top right of each panel, whilst in Edit Mode. Select this button to remove the panel from the screen.
Can I use different accounts on a single device?
Unfortunately, My Dashboard is unable to support multiple account sign-in with Facebook. However you can sign into multiple accounts on Twitter, Instagram, Flickr and YouTube.
Can I show a single photo in a panel on My Dashboard?
There is a power feature in My Dashboard's photo panels. Tap and hold on a photo during Grid or Solo view to lock the photo into the panel. To close this simply double tap the photo to return to the previous viewing mode. This allows you to set up a thumbnail photo on your screen of your loved one, your pet or a favourite celebrity!
